TIDES / BIRDS
Tides/Birds is an ongoing series of large-scale works on paper that began as a response to photographic moments recorded along the beaches of Waveland, Mississippi. These moments, of changing tides, waves, and atmospheric conditions, visually mirror the graphic nature of the shape and movement of birds. Like a mark, the waves and birds may be singular and hold attention, or integrate into the totality of the environment.
